World’s Strongest Magnet!

The world’s most powerful magnet is a million times more powerful than Earth’s magnetized field. Learn more about sustainability and Google’s efforts at sustainability.google.

  1. FWIW, there are upcoming 14T MRIs, and 7T MRIs in actual use. But 3T is the high end of what you’ll see at a normal facility.

  2. Okay so the problem I see with the thermal imaging you did, and the conclusion you drew from it, is that the larger warm spot we’re seeing on the sheet, is mostly reflection of infrared from Tim’s body heat. But I do wanna draw attention that it did seem that the plate as a whole was slightly warm, but only by tenths of a degree, by the shift in purple to pink. But that yellow/orange zone was definitely infrared reflection.

  3. Why is the aluminum plate slower than the copper?

  4. Only veritasium can get sponsored by google

  5. MRI can be much stronger than 3 tesla. As of now, the most powerful has a magnetic field of 11.7 T. High tesla MRI are super important because they increase both the detail and speed of scans

  6. be interested to know the DI resistivity and if the water is closed loop. Any UV to keep the Diatomes at a minimum

  7. jeffrey troublefield

‘So we decided to fire guns at the giant angry magnet ” 😆 bold move

  8. 9:45, is the reason similar for why his heat signature is off?

  9. At the beginning it sounds like he says “sucking on d**** in”

  10. Ethan Weimer-Kopf

Now get 2 of them and push them against each other and see what happens
