The Most Bizarre Films Coming Out In 2020

No one saw these flicks coming. From an MCU darling buying and selling his Avenger buds in for some bushy friends to a 21st century take on a buzz-worthy fright classic, these are just some of the most unforeseen, unanticipated, and straight-up irregular motion pictures hitting theaters in 2020.

Dr. Dolittle is a character with a peculiar history. The doctor who could talk with animals was constructed by writer Hugh Lofting in letters written home to his kids from the trenches of World War I. The character would go on to become the star of a litany of well-liked kids’s books, set in Victorian England and posted from the Twenties through the ’50s.

A number of adaptations emerged over the following decades, which includes cartoons, radio plays, stage productions, and a lavish 1967 motion picture musical featuring Rex Harrison.

When modern audiences see the name “Dolittle,” even so, they most likely think back to the 1998 motion picture featuring Eddie Murphy, which became something of a franchise all its own, spawning such interestingly titled direct-to-DVD sequels as Tail to the Chief. Now, the good physician is going back to the huge screen in the form of… wait for it… Robert Downey Jr. The animal cast will be voiced by a star-studded lineup that consists of Rami Malek, John Cena, Emma Thompson, Octavia Spencer, Tom Holland, Selena Gomez, and Ralph Fiennes.

We know what exactly you thinking: Where the on earth did this one originate from? We do not precisely have a reaction for ya – but after over a decade rocking that Iron-Man suit, perhaps RDJ just needed to lighten things up a little bit.

I loved the original Witches movie, it was amazing for its time and I think even stands true to today. However, that’s the only movie on this list I’m even slightly interested in seeing mostly out of curiosity more so than actual strong interest. Movies in general have lost my interest as a whole, its so rare these days that anything comes out that’s worth renting, let alone seeing in the theaters.
