  1. i watched it today on school😬

  2. The constant addition of black characters even in movies where it doesn’t make sense takes points away.

  3. They totally changed the ending which I think ruined Gieppetto’s character and made the stakes feel non-existent, and the weird puppet-girl plot was really pointless and didn’t need to be there, also “Pleasure Island” made me laugh with how PG it was.

They really sucked all the meat out of the original.
This is like the vegetarian Pinocchio.

  4. Honest John really fell in the uncanny valley there, ominous.

  5. Fernando Zavaleta Bustos

A reminder that Guillermo del Toro is making their own version of Pinocchio, and that one looks a lot more promising!

  6. These Disney remakes have no idea what these movies were about or what their morals were so these movies end up being confused and terrible

  7. Figaro is still my favorite

  8. I haven’t seen the movie but I think the differences in pleasure island make sense for the year in which the films were made. It’s all about what’s prohibited to kids: in the 1940’s, cigars and pool were really common adult practices that kids always witnessed, but were told they couldn’t try. And tho this is still the case today, these practices are not really seen as often, or at least kids aren’t as exposed to them. Now, doing what you want for a kid means no responsibilities, eating candy and anything you want and spending all day In a fun place like an amusement park.

In regards to Beauty and the Beast

I’d argue that the reason the Beast gave up all his “powers” or abilities as the Beast is A. Because it’s a curse and I doubt he felt good any moment of his life as the Beast and B. Because keeping the Beast form would mean that he would lose his consciousness eventually and become a monster forever (or die? I dont remember) and C. It would have been flat out selfish, because with his transformation comes that of the rest of the castle inhabitants. The whole point of the story is for him to grow out of selfishness.

  9. PLUS THEY DIDNT SING THE “GIVE A LITTLE WHISTLE” SONG WHICH IS ARGUABLY THE BEST SONG IN THE WHOLE MOVIE BUT THEY SANG “AN ACTOR’S LIFE FOR ME”????

    WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK, MAN?!
