I Went To A Lost Luggage Store

Howdy friends & welcome to another video clip!! This week, I journeyed to a Lost Luggage store with HopeScope to purchase and try some lost baggage objects…

Over the past few years, we have tried a number of interesting ~secondhand purchasing experiences~, like buying an abandoned storage unit, buying a box of Amazon customer returns, and visiting an Amazon returns store – and something that I have been very interested in trying for quite a while now, is buying lost airline luggage. Because apparently if you lose a piece of luggage while traveling, and never come back for it, the airline will eventually sell it. And if you’re in the US, chances are that they will sell it to the Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro, AL – who sorts through and resells the items from that lost luggage. So we flew down there with our friend HopeScope to check out the store and buy a lost luggage haul of our own: a head-to-toe outfit each!! What did you guys think of our lost looks? Would you shop at this store?

PS – Unclaimed Baggage does sell some of their inventory online here!

  1. • @Fangs OfWhite I looked into it, by that I mean I spent 15 minutes googling it, but every article I read said this place got him fairly several years after he was lost. And he was badly damaged but every article stated he was professionally repaired. I couldn’t find anything about the Henson estate trying to buy him back. If you can give me a link to a credible source I would love to read about it.

    • My two favs were Hope’s sparkle jacket and Safiya’s matrix-lite coat. I also would have purchased the Spanx leggings and maybe the pink feathered tube top. That would be simply to be able to tell people that call me subdued that I owned a pink feathered tube top.

    • That was a NASA facility you drove by! 🙂

  2. 22:49 I’m convinced this was taken from Jem’s lost luggage and you can’t convince me otherwise.

  3. Oh my goodness I work in Scottsboro! I hope you had a wonderful time in north Alabama!

  4. #1 on trending!! congrats Safiya <3

  5. Wait a sec, you guys have never heard of the space center in Huntsville, AL?!😯 Space camp?! My neighbors son is a literal rocket scientist and works there.😊

  6. Chelsey Roberts

This was super interesting and fun! I just read 2 days ago about an FBI raid on a museum in Orlando and took 25 Basquiat paintings! When I saw it in the video I was like 😱 lol!

  7. I am new to your channel. You both are so Awesome.
I love how this video is so well put, on how the store works. Thank your for you video. You both so beautiful and fun. I just subscribed.

  8. This is the coolest video I’ve ever watched

  9. “99 and 1/2 percent of the time” the airline is able to reunite lost luggage. So 0.5% of all lost luggage ends up at the next step.
“1/3 is sold, 1/3 recycled, and 1/3 donated.” So that 1/3 of 0.5% of all lost luggage ends up at this store.
And the store cycles in up to 7,000 items a day

    7,000 = 1/3 * 0.005 * x number of bags lost by airlines (or abandoned)
    That’s 4,242, 424 bags lost ~daily~.

Someone check my math please but that feels like too large a number to be “accidentally misplaced.”
