But that peace is ruined when he encounters Abra, a gallant teen with her own mighty extrasensory gift, also known as the “sparkle.” Instinctively acknowledging that Dan shares her power, Abra has searched for him out, desperate for his help against the ruthless Rose the Hat and her devotees, The True Knot, who feed off the sparkle of innocents in their quest for immortality.

Forming an implausible alliance, Dan and Abra engage in a vicious life-or-death battle with Rose. Abra’s innocence and unafraid embrace of her glisten compel Dan to implore his own powers as never before—at once facing his dreads and reawakening the ghosts of the past.

  1. Damnit I keep thinking The Shinning lol…damnit Simpsons

  2. Arnav Bhattacharjee

    Jack Torrance: Here’s JOHNNY!

    Danny Torrance: Hello there!

  3. The director (and the DP) from Hereditary would have been a much, much better director. McGregor is okay but i don’t get haunted from him (an Adrien Brody maybe). And the lighting… god, the lighting looks like shit! Simple, unnoticeable and naturalistic lighting is what made The Shining work. Horror in the ordinary banality. I fully expect the studio dicksmokers in hollywood to FUCK THIS UP with their old woman notes and fixes. A dude like Kubrick would kick those pussies off his set if they looked at him funny.

So no, I don’t have high expectations.

  4. This looks oddly profound, hopefully the film actually lives up to the tone of the trailer for once

  5. Connor McNamara

What’s that tune at the end?

  6. Looks better than the book, which is good because the book sucked.

  7. What does this have to do with the Shining. Someone please tell me
