On second thought – It’s okay to be wrong when you’re just speculating. CO has confirmed that the game is created in Unity. I’ll pin the video elsewhere as I find more info out about the game! Happy speculating, everyone!

    • Looks like photogrammetry, for the roads especially and its still PBR in Unity which is the most important part for graphics. This is probably just a beauty cinematic trailer. We would need to see gameplay to know how the game actually looks. As for which engine is used, it has very little meaning in the end. Most tools are built specifically for a game anyway so it doesnt matter if its unreal, unity or even godot. Thats why we’ve seen so many different engines through the years.

    • @Jyotsna Srivastava unity is very solid engine too. You should actually be more worried about devs switching to a new engine than sitcking to the one they know the best.

    • If you do another video on CS2, that whole first scene at the start basically shows that power is underground and runs along side roads 😊
Also it might confirm big maps and a rural aspect.

I looked it up and it said that CS 2 was made in UE4

@Jyotsna Srivastava Visuals wise yes. Unity is hot-garbage graphics wise and it makes everything look like a lumpy potato to some extent.

  2. It’d be great if it includes a more realistic land acquirement, it could make city desing more dinamyc and force the player to adapt to prevoius rural path or ways to reach resources

  3. As a Wisconsinite it feels great having a game I love acknowledge Wisconsin 😂

  4. 4:13 absolute cheese head moment

  5. Utah rocks!

  6. This decoding is based on a trailer that clearly says not actual gameplay. I would not base assumptions on a trailer that clearly is pushed to get us excited. I personally will not assume this game will look like this.

  7. 9:47 lets goooo!!!! CHIRPER

  8. Super hyped for this. I’m really hoping that they’ve made the game even more moddable than the original. Mods have been so huge in maintaining interest in the original game.

  9. The underground power cable is also going to be a thing. As we can see in first seen.

The problem I have with this is that I highly doubt this will be in Unreal Engine 5. Unreal Engine 5 is very new and only came out less than a year ago, although maybe they had some kind of prerelease version. Either way switching from UE4 to UE5 would be a big change that I’m not sure could be done in a year. I could be wrong however and I hope I am. I’ve worked a little with UE5 and nanites are fucking crazy.
