This week I picked up a beach umbrella to camp in. It sets up exceedingly fast, provides really good refuge and would be suitable for gentle climate conditions. Was a terrific evening of tenting, always fun to try something other than a tent!
Man that roundabout video was so legendary. I still go back and watch it. Any chance we get something like that again? They’re all good but you know what I mean!
Might be one of my absolute favorites. That’s was such a great spot.
Looking forward to all your future camping spots, Steve!
@Brandon Chappell these videos are really zen. Best part is no soundtrack to drown out the sounds of nature.

Hi Steve its me again. My favorite for travelling light is just a tarp and wrapping up like a burrrito and if its cold use a woobie. Do that
Mr Wallis you are a genius sir!!
As always, thanks for letting me camp with you!
Steve casually walks with a box full of wood.
logs at campfire: ait thx for the ride
Perfect for stealth camping on the beach.
I think this might be one of my favorite “non- tent” camping shelters. Just enough privacy and cover to feel a little shielded, but not so much that you are cut off from nature. A perfectly relaxing video!
i’m loving these types of videos, for a more stealth version (and more weatherproof) you should look up the fishing versions of these (sometimes just called umbrellas or sometimes bivvies) they are very similar but are usually green or camo, with slightly better weather protection (some come with front flaps to close them in) they are popular over here in Europe for overnight carp/specimen fishing trips and cheap versions are available as well as much more fancy versions. I think that would make for a great easy to set up stealth camp shelter
Cool half tent!! Stever wins!
