Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and studying on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to kids and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his gratitude of new science mingles with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a distinct capability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing customer consciousness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an autonomous voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while imparting farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative discussion between farmers and the public.

Can I be honest with ya? As a guy who has been on the regen side for decades, before it became cool, JUST FRICKING TILL AWAY BABY! TILL TILL TILL!

HOWEVER, get a good rye cover crop going on your bean ground, plant in to it, and let it reach pollination stage before you terminate it. Go ahead and spray it with the napalm agent orange before you roll it down. Then just proceed as normal. That one change will transform your ground like you wouldn’t believe Zach. Tilling for corn, zero till for beans. Strip tilling is like being half pregnant. I’ve never seen strip till work around N IL. It’s heavy black ground here also, just without all the boulders. But no till planting green with beans would work on Mars. I gotta be honest with ya, no till corn is a big long ride on the struggle bus. I do it, but if your not going for the organic premium, I’d say F it.
